Is there any age limit for Admission at AU?
There is no age limit for Admission at Air University.
I am a foreigner and want to get admission at AU?
With subject to fulfillment of program basic eligibility criteria and having valid entry visa to Pakistan, you can apply for admission. Post admission (if granted), you would be required to get NOC from HEC and Interior Ministry of Pakistan.
Do I fall under the International Students category?

If you are temporarily or permanently residing in a country other than Pakistan, and hold either a Pakistani passport, or dual nationality (one of them being Pakistani), you do not  fall under the International Student category.

What is the processing fee for online registration for Admission?
Application processing fee Rs. 2500/- will be charged and it is payable over the counter in any Brach of HBL or Bank Al-Habib Limited in Pakistan or through Air University 1-Link ID mentioned on challan.
Can I pay admission application charges through internet banking/ ATM?
Admission application processing charges can be paid through Air University 1-Link ID mentioned on challan by using Mobile App or internet banking however, you would be required to share payment slip with Admission Office at: [email protected]
Would the admission application processing fee be refundable in case a student does not appear in test or join the University?
Admission application processing fee is non-refundable in any case.
Do I have to print and submit the admission form manually?
No, AU does not require manually printed form.

How do I signup to fill an online admission application form?
 Your basic details and a valid email ID would be required to create a user account. We recommend a candidate to sign up through a Google account. Once you have signed up successfully, login to your portal and fill admission application form.
What documents are essentially required to be submitted while applying for admission?
While applying for admission, possession of Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) / Form 'B' or NICOP and passport size clear background picture are mandatory. Online registration requires attachment of HSSC Marks sheet/ A-Levels equivalency certificate and the same would be required for verification along with other mandatory required documents during selection and admission process of successful candidates. Postgraduate students are required to have valid GAT (Gen/Sub) result card to submit their details in admission form.
My O/A levels result is divided into multiple pages, and the portal only allows me to attach a single sheet; how can I attach my results?
You don’t need to attach O/A levels grade reports. Attachment of A-Levels IBCC equivalency certificate is only required. However, only enter the valid scores in relevant column.
Can I apply for more than one UG programme?
Yes, applicants interested to apply in Engineering, Computer Studies or Management Science related programs can submit their choice of preference. Admission will be granted as per order of their choice of preferences on merit.Applicants interested in other than above mentioned faculties programs can also apply in more than one program through two separate email ID’s and payment of additional application fee, provided you meet eligibility criteria. For each additional application, a candidate would be required to appear in AU-CBT as per schedule.
Does AU offer any degree on the weekend?

MS Computer Science, MBA, MS Project Management, Management Sciences, Business Analytics are weekend programs. All other degree programs are offered during regular week days for (Graduate & Post Graduate) programs.

Why there is no preference for Masters?
Master’s is a specialized degree program and a candidate can apply only for one Master’s programme as per their previous educational background.
Can I apply for more than one MS/M.Phil. programme?
Yes, through two separate email ID’s and payment of additional application fee, provided you meet eligibility criteria, you can apply in more than one program. For each application, a candidate would be required to appear in test and interview.
What are the different programmes offered at AU and the eligibility criteria?

Can candidates of FSc Pre-Medical / equivalent qualification apply for BS Computer Science?
Yes, but they have to clear deficient Mathematics courses of 6 credit hours, within first two semesters of enrollment in the programme.
I am in my final year of A Level and my result will be announced in August this year. Can I apply?

Yes, you can apply for Fall intake, as in such case you will be evaluated on the basis of ‘O’ levels equivalence marks and For A-Levels you have to insert marks according to the program’s basic eligibility i.e. 60% (660/1100 for all UG Engineering programs) and 50%(550/1100 for UG Non-Engineering) but you have to provide equivalence certificate of ‘A’ level within 15 days of announcement of result.

Is an equivalence certificate of qualification other than Matric & FSc / FA necessary? Can I not submit my O'level and A' level certificates?
&Equivalence certificates duly issued by IBCC Pakistan are necessary for those candidates who do not possess Matric & FSc / FA qualifications. Submission of only O&A level grade / mark sheets will not serve the purpose. All non FSc stream candidates must have equivalence certificate of their qualification, duly obtained from IBCC, Pakistan in relevant groups/subjects which will be assessed according to program minimum eligibility criteria.
My admission application processing fee is not getting verified?
If you have paid the application processing fee in Bank Al-Habib Limited, the fee verification requires 2-3 working days. You can also email us the picture/copy of your payment receipt at [email protected]. In-case of non-receiving your admit card and CBT are started as per announced schedule, you may email/ call/ visit to Admission Office.
I am unable to view my admit card on my admission portal?
You can view your admit card on your admission portal after your admission application processing fee Rs. 2,500/- is paid and application is verified.
What is the duration of test and the number of MCQs to be attempted?
For all U/G programmes there are 100 MCQs to be attempted in 120 minutes (two hours).
Is there any negative marking in the AU-CBT?

No, there is no negative marking of AU-CBT

What are the subjects for Entry Test for different categories of candidates and can I get some sample Test papers of AU-CBT?
Sample test papers are not available however, CBT composition for each program is available on: Click Here
Note: The questions of all subjects are taken from intermediate levels books.
I could not appear in AU Entry Test, Can I take the Test on some other day?
Yes, as long as AU Tests are under process, you can request for rescheduling through Admission Office as per your convenience but with subject to available slot on our desirous date & time.
What if, my AU Entry Test date is conflicting with other University test date?
You can contact AU Admission Office through phone call/ email/ in-person for rescheduling of CBT.
If I have taken NAT/SAT-I/II Tests, do I still have to sit in the AU-CBT?
Yes, but they have to clear deficient Mathematics courses of 6 credit hours, within first two semesters of enrollment in the programme.
Can I apply for rechecking of Entry Test Result?

Yes, in case of disagreement with announced result, you may request for rechecking of result.

Can I apply for recalculation of aggregate merit score?
Yes, you can apply however, aggregate merit score is calculated through an automated system without margin of any error.
Does AU offer scholarship / financial assistance?
The students who perform well academically and maintain minimum GPA of 3.5 out of 4.0 in semester studies are eligible to get merit scholarship, as per AU Merit scholarship policy in each semester.
Where can I see my timetable?
The timetable will appear on the student’s portal once the classes are scheduled and student is allocated with a Reg. ID and official Gmail account to access portal.
Does AU charge fee annually or per semester?
AU charges tuition fee per semester as per course registration credit hours and allied charges.
What is the duration of one semester at AU?

regular semester is comprised of 16 weeks excluding examination days.

I got my name changed in my CNIC and Passport which is different from that on my academic documents (O & A Level), how can I get the same name on my university degree and transcript?
For this, you have to get your name changed on your Matric or O level equivalence certificate (SSC), because University will use your name as per your Matric or O level equivalence certificate (SSC), duly issued by IBCC.
Is migration to AU allowed?

For various academics backgrounds, which options for various UG disciplines are available?
The options available to candidates for admission in various programmes according to their academic background are as follows. However, all non-FSc stream candidates must have equivalence certificates duly obtained from IBCC, Pakistan in relevant groups/subjects, as spelled out in “Eligibility Criteria”.

Candidates of O/A level or any other foreign qualification are advised to contact IBCC, Pakistan for issuance of equivalence certificates as per university requirements with more than 60% marks in required subjects / group, well in time. Any deficiency of subjects or non-provision of IBCC equivalence certificate before start of classes will lead to cancellation of admission at any stage.

What are the salient features of AU Admission System?
  • --> Admission is granted on the basis of candidates’ performance in AU-CBT and previous academics qualifications i.e. SSC & HSSC. AU offers admission purely on merit basis.
  • --> The entire process of registration for admission is online.
  • --> Candidates must be in possession of CNIC or Form B or NICOP (National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis).
  • --> For applying for Registration:-
    • --> FA / FSc stream candidates should have passed Part-I exam. For those candidates who have completed their HSSC should have minimum 60% marks for engineering programs and 50% marks for all other non-engineering programs.
  • --> When applications for admissions are invited, candidates are first required to get registered by providing valid email address. Upon registering successfully, the candidate is required to fill up the online admission form and deposit specified processing fee.
  • --> Candidates can appear in the entry test multiple times to improve test score. The merit for admission is prepared on the basis of best score.
  • --> For every attempt to appear in AU-CBT, a separate application is to be filled up.
  • --> Computer based entry tests for all UG programs are held in multiple series at AU Islamabad, Aerospace & Aviation Campus, Multan Campus and Lahore Center:
    • --> Phase-I : Apr-May 2023
    • --> Phase-II: July- Aug 2023
  • --> Admission process for all undergraduate programs is conducted once a year to facilitate the commencement of the academic year in Fall intake however, in case of availability of seats, only selected undergraduate programs are offered in Spring semester.
